The HAITOGLOU BROS SA food industry was founded in 1924 in Thessaloniki , Greece , by a family of refugees bearing the same name. Initially, the company was a small family business in the center of the city.

Today, after over eighty years in existence, the company headquarters are located in the Kalohori area of Thessaloniki . The company's facilities extend over 170,000 square meters , of which 67,000 thousand comprise covered structures, and it produces traditional Greek products, perfectly integrated in the Mediterranean Diet.

The company has two state-of-the-art production units, one for sesame processing and the other for the production of halva; particular attention has been given to the use of cutting-edge technology for the achievement and maintenance of consistently high quality in the finished product. At the same time, the traditional production methods have remained active, wherever this is deemed necessary in order to maintain the authentic character of these products. Finally, our fully equipped quality-control laboratories make it possible to effect continuous controls, both of our raw materials and of our finished products.

In addition to sesame products, the company is active in the production of a whole range of other products. Jams, praline spreads, loukoumi [Turkish delight], and confectionary products, complete a long list of foodstuffs available to consumers.

The company employs on average 400 employees. Through its highly-organized sales network, the company's products are distributed to even the most far-off and inaccessible areas of the Greek territory, thus occupying a very high market share in the Greek market.

At the same time, Macedonian Halva, as well as other products, are exported around the world (approximately 50% of overall production is exported). From the USA and Canada , to Australia , the European Union countries, Russia and the markets of Eastern Europe, to the Middle East and Asia, these products function as excellent ambassadors for Greece .
